For more than eight decades, American Mothers, Inc. has been the country's preeminent organization for mothers. Founded in 1935 on the principles of honoring mothers and helping those in need, AMI stands strongly today as a national 501c3 nonprofit organization working to educate, inspire, and recognize mothers through programs that empower them to positively impact their families and communities.
To do this we:
MENTOR by connecting mothers with others who can help them maneuver the complexities of motherhood
EDUCATE mothers on topics that develop their innate abilities to build strong families
SUPPORT efforts that benefit women and children by providing grants to nonprofit organizations
HONOR outstanding mothers through the Mother of the Year® award and other recognitions
IT TAKES A COMMUNITY
