“Back-to-School = Back-to-Books + So Much More”
Presented by Carol Muleta, 2019 DC Mother of the Year, and the DC Metro Association of American Mothers, Inc.
This time of year signals a fresh start for our children’s academic pursuits. As families shop for school supplies and new clothes, the excitement builds. Most children eagerly anticipate reconnecting with friends they’ve missed over the summer and wonder who their new teachers will be. Yet, for some, the start of a new school year can bring challenges such as persistent academic struggles as well as difficulties managing stress and navigating social interactions. Parents will hear from experts who will share strategies to help children and their families ease into this school year with confidence and optimism. This event is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration required!
